Dressage Club

A fun, unaffiliated club aimed at riders of all abilities from Intro up to Medium. All our competitions are run in a laid-back atmosphere offering a helping hand or caller when required. In order to gain full advantage of the MBDC club we suggest your membership registration is completed at the beginning of the competition season.

Our dressage competitions run from April – October. All Members that compete at our dressage competitions are awarded points based on placings throughout the season. Our annual presentation takes place in November where they will collect various prizes from rosettes, medals, trophies and small gifts.

Marian Bach Equestrian Centre run Team Quest classes in combination with My Quest and our MBDC and unaffiliated dressage classes. We advise all potential Team Quest competitors ensure they’re compatible with the Team Quest rules and regulations before entering. In 2014, British Dressage (BD) launched a new competition for riders of all ages and abilities called ‘Team Quest’ (TQ). In 2019, the Kent & Masters Quest series is now even bigger and better with over 2000 riders taking part and riding down the centre line for their team.

Team Quest is looking for riders at Intro, Prelim and Novice to take part in a fun and relaxed dressage competition – even if you’ve never competed before! There are two age categories for teams; Under 21 (for riders up to the end of the year of their 21st birthday) and Open (riders of any age).

Teams of three or four riders will ride as individuals across any of the three test levels and the best three scores count towards an overall team total, with the highest team total winning the competition. Your team will be awarded Team Quest points based on your team’s best five placings and will be ranked on a regional leader board, which takes the top teams forward to a Regional Final and then the National Championships!
